Join OSM Thome as a Fitter and work worldwide onboard our vessels. You will help keep all steel structures, pipelines, and deck equipment in safe and good working condition, supporting smooth and safe ship operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out welding, cutting, grinding, and pipe fitting jobs
- Assist with steel repairs on hull, tanks, and deck structures
- Maintain and repair handrails, ladders, platforms, and foundations
- Support engine and deck teams during maintenance and drydock
- Follow safety rules and keep work areas clean and organized
- Requirements:
- Must be British or have the right to work in the UK
- Sea-going experience as Fitter or similar position
- Strong welding and gas cutting skills (arc, MIG/MAG or similar)
- Good knowledge of steel work, pipe work, and basic machining
- Valid seafarer documents and medical fit for sea service
- Able to work in a team, follow instructions, and maintain safe work practices
