OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Cook (C/C) to serve onboard an Offshore Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel in Trinidad and Tobago. If you are a seafarer who can manage the galley and provide good, safe food for the crew, this role is for you.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and prepare daily meals for officers and crew
- Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic galley and storerooms
- Manage food stores, stock control and ordering within budget
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and HSE standards on board
- Work closely with the Master and officers on menu planning and special diets
Requirements
- Previous experience as Chief Cook on offshore vessels, preferably AHTS or similar
- Valid maritime cook/ship’s cook certificate and basic safety training (STCW)
- Good knowledge of galley hygiene, stock control and menu planning
- Fit for sea service with valid medical certificate
- Good English communication skills
