Set sail as Electrician (ELEC) with OSM Thome and be part of a professional crew on vessels trading worldwide. You will keep all electrical and electronic systems safe, reliable and in good working order to support smooth ship operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out maintenance and repair of all electrical and electronic equipment onboard
- Troubleshoot faults in power distribution, motors, lighting and control systems
- Support maintenance of navigation, communication and automation systems
- Perform regular inspections and testing to prevent breakdowns
- Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times
- Keep maintenance records and report defects to senior officers
- Requirements:
- Must be British/Irish or have Frontier visa
- Relevant marine electrician / electro-technical qualification
- Sea experience as Electrician / ETO onboard seagoing vessels
- Good knowledge of shipboard electrical and automation systems
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
- Good English communication and ability to work in an international crew
- Strong safety attitude and hands-on problem-solving skills
