Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated 1st Officer Navigator (Bridge Manager) to join Royal Caribbean Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe navigational watch at sea and in port while ensuring the highest standards of navigation, safety, security, environmental compliance, and guest experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safe bridge watchkeeping operations at sea and in port.
  • Execute and monitor voyage plans and navigational procedures.
  • Coordinate bridge team activities and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Oversee voyage planning, chart corrections, and navigational publications.
  • Monitor weather conditions and vessel stability.
  • Manage bridge equipment maintenance, testing, and reporting of defects.
  • Support the Captain and Staff Captain in navigational, operational, and communication matters.
  • Supervise and mentor deck officers, quartermasters, and cadets.
  • Participate in safety drills, training programs, and emergency preparedness activities.
  • Ensure full compliance with maritime regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:
  • Valid STCW certification.
  • Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) A-II/2.
  • Previous experience in a senior deck officer position, preferably onboard passenger vessels.
  • Strong knowledge of navigation, voyage planning, bridge resource management (BRM), and maritime regulations.
  • Experience with ECDIS, electronic navigation systems, and voyage planning software.
  • Coast Guard and Port State Control experience is considered an advantage.


Physical & Language Requirements:

  • Physically and medically fit for sea service.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
