Join OSM Thome as 3rd Engineer on a chemical tanker trading worldwide. You will work with an experienced engine team, keeping all machinery safe, reliable, and ready for operation.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries, and engine room equipment
- Carry out planned maintenance, repairs, and routine checks as assigned by the Chief and 2nd Engineer
- Monitor engine room parameters and report any irregularities
- Follow company and vessel safety procedures, including permits and risk assessments
- Keep engine room logs, records, and documentation updated
- Support bunkering and fuel/lube oil transfers as required
- Requirements:
- Valid 3rd Engineer (EOOW) license for seagoing vessels
- Recent experience on chemical or product tankers preferred
- Valid STCW certificates and tanker endorsements as per rank
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
