OSM Thome is looking for a Wiper to serve on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will work in the engine room, support the engineering team, and help keep all machinery areas safe, clean, and in good working order.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with routine engine room duties and maintenance
- Clean and maintain engine room spaces and equipment
- Carry out oil, fuel, and waste handling as instructed
- Perform watchkeeping duties as assigned
- Follow all safety procedures and use proper protective equipment
Requirements
- Previous experience as Wiper or engine room rating preferred
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Fit for engine room work and willing to learn
- Team player with a safety-minded attitude
