Join OSM Thome as a Deck Operator/Coordinator on an offshore multipurpose vessel in Brazil. You will support safe deck operations, cargo handling and marine activities, working closely with the offshore and bridge teams.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out and coordinate deck and crane operations according to work plans and permits
- Assist with loading, discharging and securing cargo and equipment
- Monitor deck safety, housekeeping and use of PPE at all times
- Support marine operations such as towing, anchor handling and boat transfers when required
- Report any unsafe condition, near miss or incident to the officer in charge
- Keep deck equipment, lifting gear and tools in good working order
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Deck Operator/Coordinator or similar offshore deck role
- Valid STCW certificates and offshore medical, fit for offshore work
- Strong knowledge of deck operations, lifting operations and safe working practices
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a mixed crew
- Ability to work in rotation offshore Brazil and in changing weather and sea conditions
