- Key responsibilities:
- Oversee safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery and systems
- Plan and carry out maintenance and repairs as per company standards
- Monitor fuel and lube oil consumption and maintain accurate records
- Lead, train, and supervise engine room crew
- Ensure compliance with flag state, class, ISM, and company procedures
- Coordinate closely with the Master for safe and efficient vessel operations
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency for seagoing vessels
- Recent experience as C/E on chemical tankers
- Strong knowledge of tanker operations, safety, and environmental rules
- Good leadership and communication skills in English
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
