Set sail as Chief Officer on a crude oil tanker with OSM Thome. Take charge of deck operations, cargo handling, and navigation watch, working closely with the Master and a professional crew on worldwide trade.
- Key responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise deck crew in daily operations and maintenance
- Plan and oversee crude oil cargo loading, discharging, and tank change-over
- Stand navigational watch and ensure safe passage and ship handling
- Maintain deck and cargo equipment in safe working condition
- Ensure strict compliance with ISM, ISPS, MARPOL and company procedures
- Support the Master with safety drills, risk assessments, and crew training
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer/Chief Mate unlimited CoC
- Recent experience as Chief Officer or 1/O on crude oil tankers
- Valid tanker and dangerous cargo endorsements (incl. Advanced Oil Tanker)
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Strong leadership, safety awareness, and teamwork skills
- Medically fit for sea service and all necessary valid STCW certificates
