OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Cook to serve onboard an Offshore PSV trading on the Norway / UK Coast. You will be in charge of the galley, preparing good, nutritious meals for crew and officers and keeping high standards of hygiene and food safety.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan menus and prepare daily meals for crew and officers
- Order, receive and store food provisions and galley stores
- Control stock, avoid waste and keep cost-effective use of supplies
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organized galley and mess room
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and health regulations onboard
- Work closely with the Master and Officers on catering and stores needs
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook or Cook onboard offshore vessels, preferably PSV
- Valid seafarer documents and medical certificate according to flag and trade
- Recognized cook/catering certificates as required for offshore service
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Strong focus on hygiene, safety and teamwork in a multinational crew
