Join OSM Thome as a 2nd Officer on oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will be part of a safe, professional deck team, supporting navigation, cargo operations, and deck routines according to company and industry standards.
- Key responsibilities:
- Stand navigational watch and ensure safe passage at sea and in port
- Plan and execute voyage and navigation duties as per Master’s instructions
- Assist with cargo and ballast operations on oil/chemical tankers
- Maintain charts, publications, and navigational equipment
- Support safety drills, inspections, and ISM/ISPS procedures
- Supervise deck crew in daily deck maintenance and operations
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Officer / OOW (Deck) license meeting STCW requirements
- Tanker experience on oil/chemical vessels (preferred/required as per company standard)
- Valid STCW certificates and tanker endorsements
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety mindset and teamwork attitude
