Chief Engineer for PSV in Brazil. Lead vessel operations with OSM Thome. Sailing experience offshore required.
OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer (C/E) to serve onboard a Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) operating offshore Brazil. You will be in charge of all engine room operations, maintenance and safety, ensuring the vessel runs safely and efficiently at all times.
- Key responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise all engine room crew and activities
- Plan and carry out maintenance and repairs on all machinery and equipment
- Monitor and manage fuel, lube oil, and spare parts consumption
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of main engines, auxiliaries and all technical systems
- Keep engine room logs, records and reports up to date
- Ensure compliance with class, flag, company and safety regulations
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer license, STCW compliant
- Previous experience as C/E on PSV or offshore vessels
- Strong knowledge of engine room systems and planned maintenance
- Good command of English, written and spoken
- Valid offshore medical and required safety certificates
- Ability to lead a team and work in a multicultural environment
