Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer (C/E) on an Offshore Construction Vessel operating in Brazil. You will lead the engine department, ensure safe and reliable operation of all machinery, and support offshore construction work with steady vessel performance.
- Key responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all engine room operations and maintenance
- Ensure safe and efficient running of main engines, auxiliaries and deck machinery
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance according to PMS
- Monitor fuel and lube oil consumption and maintain proper records
- Lead, train and motivate engine room crew
- Ensure compliance with class, flag state and company procedures
- Support offshore construction activities with reliable power and systems
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer CoC for seagoing vessels (STCW compliant)
- Experience as C/E on offshore / construction / DP vessels preferred
- Strong background in marine diesel engines and auxiliary systems
- Good knowledge of PMS, safety and environmental regulations
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical and required offshore certificates
