Join OSM Thome as Chief Cook on an offshore construction vessel trading worldwide. You will be in charge of the galley, ensuring good, safe and tasty food for all crew and officers on board.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan menus and prepare daily meals for crew and officers
- Ensure proper food hygiene, galley cleanliness and safe working practices
- Manage food stores, issue provisions and control consumption
- Order and receive supplies, check quality and quantities
- Work closely with the Master and Chief Steward on catering budgets and routines
- Follow company and vessel safety procedures at all times
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook or Cook on offshore vessels or ships
- Valid maritime cook / ship’s cook certificate as per flag requirements
- Valid STCW certificates and offshore medical fitness
- Good knowledge of safe food handling and galley hygiene
- Ability to work independently and serve mixed-nationality crews
- Good English communication skills
