Join OSM Thome as Electrician (ELEC) on an Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel operating offshore Argentina. You will be responsible for keeping all electrical and electronic systems safe, reliable and in good working order to support daily marine and anchor handling operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain and repair all electrical equipment and systems onboard
- Carry out troubleshooting on power distribution, motors, starters and control panels
- Maintain and test alarm, monitoring and communication systems
- Plan and perform preventive maintenance as per PMS and maker’s manuals
- Keep proper records, logs and reports of all electrical work
- Assist deck and engine teams during anchor handling and offshore operations when required
- Requirements:
- Relevant marine electrician experience, preferably on AHTS or similar offshore vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for offshore work
- HUET and CAEBS Opito Approved
- High and Low Voltage
- DP Maintenance K-POS
- Good knowledge of marine power systems, automation and control circuits
- Ability to read electrical drawings and work independently and safely
- Good communication skills in English and strong safety mindset
