Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Client is looking for someone to take on Team Leader role for maintenance team of mechanics and engineers.
  • J-Lay and S-Lay experience.
  • Proven understanding of offshore pile installation techniques using Vibro hammers.
  • Hands-on experience with the maintenance, inspection, and operational readiness of Vibro hammer spreads.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude in preparing and troubleshooting Vibro hammer systems, particularly those by Cape Holland and PVE Dieseko.
  • Direct operational involvement in deploying Vibro hammers for offshore foundation works, ensuring safe and efficient pile installation under varying marine conditions.
  • Experience in coordinating with offshore teams to plan and execute equipment deployment and retrieval in line with project timelines.
  • Ability to monitor and log equipment performance data for continuous improvement and preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Familiarity with offshore safety protocols and ability to implement them effectively during equipment operations.


Tasks:

  • Perform routine inspections and diagnostics to ensure equipment readiness and reliability before deployment.
  • Assist in the mobilisation and demobilisation of piling equipment during offshore campaigns.
  • Coordinate with marine crew and project engineers to align equipment operations with project timelines and specifications.
  • Manage troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical, hydraulic, or control system faults on Vibro hammer systems.
  • Maintain detailed logs of equipment performance, maintenance schedules, and repair records.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and operational guidelines during equipment handling and offshore works.
  • Provide technical support during pile installation operations, including real-time adjustments and monitoring.
  • Participate in toolbox talks and contribute to risk assessments related to heavy equipment operations.
  • Liaise with equipment manufacturers or vendors for technical support and spare part requirements.
