RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Operational Oversight
- Lead the crewing operations for the assigned fleet, ensuring effective manpower planning, timely reliefs, and optimal deployment of qualified seafarers.
- Drive performance and ensure alignment with company KPIs.
- Supervise and mentor crewing team, ensuring adherence to operational protocols and continuous capability enhancement.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure complete compliance with Flag State, MLC, statutory, P&I, and client-specific requirements across all crew operations.
- Establish a robust compliance framework for pre-joining, joining, and sign-off processes in line with company and principal procedures.
Stakeholder & Principal Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Principal’s crewing department for all manning matters, ensuring proactive communication and seamless coordination.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Seafarer Lifecycle Management
- Facilitate effective communication and engagement with seafarers during both their active duty and vacation periods.
- Support seafarers’ families and address welfare matters during the crew’s onboard tenure.
Talent Development & Crew Retention
- Identify and nurture high-potential seafarers for career progression and leadership roles.
- Collaborate with the Principal’s training and development teams to implement structured promotion and training plans.
Process Optimization & Reporting
- Lead efforts to improve crewing workflows, enhance team productivity, and implement automation or digitalization initiatives where applicable.
- Ensure accurate financial documentation related to crew expenses and liaise with accounting for timely invoicing and cost recovery from principals.

DUTIES
- Monitor and analyze manning status—including candidate pipeline, proposals, approvals, and deployment readiness.
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews of crewing processes to identify risk areas and implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee the end-to-end crew lifecycle, including onboarding, briefing, deployment, off-signing, debriefing, and documentation.
- Ensure accurate issuance of service documentation (e.g., Sea Service Letters, CoC/CoP/CDC documentation support).
- Maintain detailed records of approvals, waivers, and crew data to support operational transparency and audit preparedness.

AUTHORITY
- Shall have authority as directed by the reporting manager to act in accordance with his/her responsibilities to ensure the efficient crew administration.
