Information about the job: 

  • Job Title: Offshore Mechanic
  • Project: Various Offshore 
  • Location: Worldwide
  • Duration: 12 months (renewable)
  • Rotation: Two rotation schemes on offer: 56/28 (working/on leave) or 165/30 (working/on leave) depending on the project location.
  • Salary: Please state your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated monthly paid while working only.
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Insurance: Provided by the company


Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Previous offshore experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to report incidents and equipment status accurately
  • Ability to work efficiently in challenging conditions while maintaining high safety standards.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols.
  • Willingness to work internationally and travel frequently.


Tasks:

  • Conduct routine and corrective maintenance on pipelay equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Service cranes, winches, and related lifting equipment to ensure continuous operability.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ILT systems, diesel and hydraulic hammers, air compressors, and engine components.
  • Store tools and equipment properly after use and ensure a tidy work environment.
  • Participate in safety briefings and comply with all PPE and pollution control requirements.
  • Respond to mechanical issues, report near-miss incidents, and support emergency drills.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical systems onboard.
  • Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
