The primary objective of this role is to lead and manage the company’s crew recruitment activities in the Philippines, ensuring timely delivery of qualified seafarers in line with customer requirements and company standards. This position oversees recruitment across both main and branch offices, aligning efforts with overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the recruitment team to meet staffing targets and maintain compliance.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies with Deputy Managers.
- Align recruitment efforts with client requirements and company goals.
- Build partnerships with maritime schools, agencies, and industry stakeholders.
- Forecast hiring needs and ensure timely crew deployment.
- Coach and mentor team members to drive performance and continuous improvement.
- Support the MD – Philippines in implementing key recruitment initiatives.
- Serve as the main contact for internal stakeholders on recruitment matters.
- Monitor global hiring trends and identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, cost-effective crew recruitment.
- Oversee budget, compliance, and departmental decision-making.
Required Competencies:
- Proven experience in maritime crew recruitment
- Leadership experience in a multinational environment
- Sea-based experience is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- In-depth knowledge of Philippine crewing industry laws and procedures
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
