OSM Thome Recruitment is looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Casino Manager to help lead the day-to-day operations of Royal Caribbean's Group onboard Casino. This role supports the Casino Manager in all aspects of casino floor management, guest experience, team leadership, regulatory compliance, and financial performance.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Maintain high visibility on the casino floor to oversee all gaming areas and minimize security/fraud issues.
- Supervise all casino activities including slot machines, table games, and cash desk operations.
- Monitor and coach the casino team to ensure operational procedures and service standards are upheld.
- Support the Casino Manager in daily planning, scheduling, and execution of casino activities.
- Lead and mentor dealers and supervisors through on-the-job training and performance evaluations.
- Assist in budget and cost control by managing overtime, reviewing requisitions, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Respond professionally to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.
- Maintain proper documentation including reports, memos, timesheets, and compliance records.
- Support the identification and enrollment of high-value players into the Club Royale program.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and initiate repair requests as needed.
- Foster a team environment of professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and competence:
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Senior Casino Supervisor with a track record of high performance (internal)
- 1–2 years of progressive supervisory experience in a casino setting (resorts, cruise lines, or hotels)
- Completion of Gaming Board/Commission-approved dealer training
- Strong understanding of casino games, payouts, gaming regulations, and guest service standards
- Ability to manage financial performance, including cost control and revenue enhancement strategies
- Effective leadership and people management skills with knowledge of disciplinary and coaching practices
- Working knowledge of computer systems including Excel, Word, and other office software
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field (preferred)
- Fluent in spoken and written English (required)
- Additional languages such as Spanish, French, or German are a plus
