Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Mandatory:
- Valid Saudi ARAMCO CBT accreditation in Welding & Piping or Pipeline categories
- Certification in Non-Destructive Testing methods: RT, MT, DP, and UT
- CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification
- Previous SA ARAMCO approval as a supervisor is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in quality oversight within industrial welding operations.
- Familiarity with inspection planning, QC documentation, and NDT interpretation.
- Strong understanding of materials traceability, equipment calibration, and procedural compliance.
- Proficiency in English.
Tasks:
- Review and confirm welding quality procedures align with project standards.
- Check readiness and suitability of welding tools, materials, and inspection devices.
- Ensure all incoming materials and equipment are properly logged, stored, and traceable.
- Assist in validating qualifications of inspectors and approve relevant technical procedures.
- Help define and implement rules for managing quality documentation systems.
- Supervise inspection processes, verify inspector reports, and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Monitor execution of inspection and testing steps, ensuring relevant records are collected for mechanical completion.
- Oversee quality compliance of subcontractor activities and verify inspection outcomes.
- Organize and verify all quality records for inclusion in the final project handover package.
- Ensure that non-conformance issues are identified, reported, and followed through to resolution.
- Support offshore or vessel-based quality roles by assigning inspection personnel and tasks.
- Where specialized NDT staff are not present, perform certified non-destructive tests and interpret results as needed.
