Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Experience with living quarters on platform is a must.
  • Expertise in managing the full lifecycle of engineering projects from design to delivery in an onshore support environment
  • Strong knowledge of offshore systems and structures, particularly in the design, integration, and refurbishment of Living Quarters (LQ)
  • Solid understanding of modular construction, architectural fit-out, MEP systems, and safety compliance in offshore accommodations
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex technical drawings, standards, and specifications
  • Skilled in project planning, scheduling (Primavera, MS Project), and technical reporting to stakeholders and senior management
  • Proven track record in technical documentation control, change management, and risk assessment in engineering projects
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional coordination with vendors, design consultants, and yard teams
  • Deep understanding of HSE principles and regulatory frameworks (e.g., DNV, ABS, SOLAS, IMO, NORSOK) relevant to LQ construction
  • Experience working with fabrication yards and providing onshore technical support for offshore module installation
  • Familiarity with FAT, SAT, and commissioning documentation for accommodation modules and related systems
  • Competent in handling project logistics, procurement follow-up, and supplier quality assurance from an onshore office
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other 3D modeling/engineering software used in design review and coordination
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural, fast-paced environment with frequent cross-border collaboration
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of delivering under tight deadlines and evolving priorities


Tasks:

  • Lead and oversee the engineering and technical scope of Living Quarters (LQ) projects for offshore platforms from the onshore office
  • Coordinate design reviews and ensure technical compliance with client specifications and international standards
  • Manage engineering deliverables, interface documentation, and technical queries across multiple disciplines (architectural, structural, HVAC, electrical, fire & safety, etc.)
  • Supervise and support multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring alignment with project milestones and quality expectations
  • Review and approve technical drawings, method statements, equipment data sheets, and inspection plans
  • Liaise with clients, classification societies, and regulatory bodies to ensure all LQ components meet offshore certification requirements
  • Plan and track progress of engineering and fabrication activities related to accommodation modules, ensuring delivery within cost and schedule
  • Provide technical support to procurement and expediting teams for the sourcing of LQ-related equipment and materials
  • Monitor compliance with HSE regulations and participate in risk assessments, HAZID, and constructability reviews
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between onshore engineering, fabrication yards, and offshore commissioning teams
  • Participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) and support SAT (Site Acceptance Tests) coordination from onshore
  • Lead resolution of non-conformities, technical deviations, and interface issues during design and construction
  • Organize and chair technical coordination meetings with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
  • Support preparation of close-out reports, technical documentation handover, and lessons learned sessions post-project
  • Drive continuous improvement in design methodology, construction techniques, and technical workflows
  • Ensure that lessons from previous offshore LQ projects are implemented in current and future onshore project scopes
