Contribution and Aim:

Responsible for sourcing and recruiting qualified crew members based on customer specifications, while ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies. The role also involves monitoring crew requirements and leading continuous improvement initiatives in the recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and screen qualified candidates to meet customer crew requirements.
• Collect, verify, and scan required documents (e.g., COP/TESDA certificates, Seaman’s Book, Passport, Yellow Fever Vaccination, NBI clearance).
• Ensure the accuracy and validity of applicant information in the system.
• Conduct background checks and validate prior work experience.
• Provide timely updates on recruitment progress and crew demand.
• Monitor and share industry trends to strengthen the company's market position.
• Establish and maintain relationships with training centers, maritime associations, and other sourcing partners.
• Notify applicants of their status throughout the recruitment process.
• Prepare and analyze recruitment performance reports.
• Recommend improvements to recruitment strategies and processes.
• Maintain data integrity across recruitment platforms.
• Build and manage a talent pipeline for future needs.
• Perform other tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Required Competencies:

• Solid background in recruitment; maritime industry experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with quality assurance/management systems.
• Bachelor’s degree required; process-related courses preferred.
• Knowledge of Kaizen, lean practices, or Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and recruitment tools.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to generate and interpret recruitment reports and statistics.
• Skilled in utilizing online platforms for candidate sourcing.
