Information about the job:

  • Job Title: Commissioning Electrical Lead.
  • Projects: Onshore.
  • Location: Tianjin, China.
  • Rotation: 51 days of holidays per year with 6 flights paid by the company.

Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Proven experience in managing electrical works for large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction interfaces and coordination across multiple disciplines.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards relevant to electrical and construction activities.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and monitor progress of electrical and commissioning tasks.
  • Experience in vendor management and supervising subcontractor work.
  • Familiarity with preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance practices.
  • Competence in preparing and delivering technical training to teams.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.
  • Ability to analyze plant feedback and optimize resources, maintenance plans, and spare parts.
  • Proficiency in English.



Tasks:

  • Oversee execution of electrical works, whether by direct hire or subcontractors.
  • Ensure work aligns with project plans, schedules, and documentation.
  • Support safety management, contribute to inspections, and investigate incidents as needed.
  • Review engineering documents for commissioning and start-up requirements.
  • Participate in project planning and scheduling activities.
  • Monitor vendor schedules related to commissioning, start-up, and test runs.
  • Track progress and provide reports on assigned responsibilities.
  • Coordinate and assign resources, materials, and logistics for maintenance plans.
  • Manage preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance activities.
  • Supervise vendor activities on site within assigned areas.
  • Approve work orders following permit-to-work procedures.
  • Control electrical isolation through proper switchboard locking and unlocking procedures.
  • Lead training programs for personnel and report skill gaps.
  • Adjust maintenance plans, manpower, and spare parts based on operational feedback.
