Main Text:
Operation Manager will be responsible for the following functions, as assigned.
- Overseeing daily operations: Manage day-to-day activities on the offshore asset, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Technical skills: A strong understanding of the technical aspects of offshore operations, including machinery, equipment, and safety protocol.
- Leadership skills: The ability to lead and motivate teams, make decisions under pressure, and communicate effectively with stakeholders including company management, client OERL, regulatory agencies and local regulations.
- Production optimization: To achieve 100% production up time while maintaining the quality parameters of export oil to meet the client requirements. This involves overseeing the production process, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing measures to enhance productivity.
- Maintenance planning: Ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained from an operational critical point of view. All critical spares and min/max to be regularly verified. The operation manager develops and oversees the maintenance schedule, coordinates the repairs.
- Environmental compliance: Ensure operations adhere to environmental regulations and implement measures to minimize environmental impact.
- Budget and cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for operational expenses, striving to minimize costs while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Performance monitoring: Utilize data and performance metrics to access operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Emergency response: Develop and oversee emergency response procedures to handle incidents such as equipment failures, spills, or adverse weather conditions.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure the wellbeing of personnel and compliance with industry regulations.
- Resource management: A strong commitment to safety and the ability to promote a culture of safety among personnel are paramount. Coordinate resources including personnel, equipment and supplies to optimize operations and minimize.
Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management or related field is typically required. Advanced degrees or equivalent certification may be preferred. Candidate should have a minimum of 20years of offshore experience out of which minimum of 5years as Offshore Installation Manager (OIM).
- Experience: Prior experience in offshore operations management or a similar industry is highly valuable. Experience in a managerial or supervisory role is often required.
- Problem solving abilities: Operation manager must be able to adapt at identifying issues, analysing data, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and overcome challenges.
- Regulatory knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards and environmental requirements is important for ensuring compliance.
- Adaptability: Offshore operations can be dynamics and unpredictable, so the ability to adapt to changing the circumstances and make quick decision is essential.
