Information about the job:
- Job Title: Fitter.
- Project: Seaway Alfalift - Inch Cape project.
- Location: UK.
- Duration: 250 days.
- Rotation: 5 Weeks ON & 5 Weeks OFF .
- Salary: 8500 GBP.
- Start date: 01 July 2026.
Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- UK or Irish citizen, or to hold a valid UK Permit.
- Must hold a GWO SS.
- Proven experience in mechanical fitting, welding, or structural assembly in offshore or maritime environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and lifting/rigging equipment.
- Familiarity with heavy machinery maintenance and alignment procedures.
- Physically fit, with stamina for extended periods in challenging offshore conditions.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols and offshore compliance standards.
- Effective communication skills within a team-oriented, multi-disciplinary environment.
- English proficiency.
Tasks:
- Assemble, install, and maintain structural components and mechanical systems on deck and below deck.
- Inspect and align machinery, including winches, cranes, and lifting gear.
- Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Assist in rigging and positioning heavy loads during offshore operations.
- Identify potential equipment faults and report them for corrective action.
- Collaborate with engineers and deck crew to execute lifting operations safely and efficiently.
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and ensure tools/equipment are in safe working order.
- Document maintenance activities and adhere to vessel safety and environmental procedures.
