Information about the job: 

  • Job Title: Fitter.
  • Project: Seaway Alfalift - Inch Cape project.
  • Location: UK.
  • Duration: 250 days.
  • Rotation: 5 Weeks ON & 5 Weeks OFF .
  • Salary: 8500 GBP.
  • Start date: 01 July 2026.


Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • UK or Irish citizen, or to hold a valid UK Permit.
  • Must hold a GWO SS.
  • Proven experience in mechanical fitting, welding, or structural assembly in offshore or maritime environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and lifting/rigging equipment.
  • Familiarity with heavy machinery maintenance and alignment procedures.
  • Physically fit, with stamina for extended periods in challenging offshore conditions.
  • Strong adherence to safety protocols and offshore compliance standards.
  • Effective communication skills within a team-oriented, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • English proficiency.


Tasks:

  • Assemble, install, and maintain structural components and mechanical systems on deck and below deck.
  • Inspect and align machinery, including winches, cranes, and lifting gear.
  • Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Assist in rigging and positioning heavy loads during offshore operations.
  • Identify potential equipment faults and report them for corrective action.
  • Collaborate with engineers and deck crew to execute lifting operations safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain clean, organized workspaces and ensure tools/equipment are in safe working order.
  • Document maintenance activities and adhere to vessel safety and environmental procedures.
