Join OSM Thome as 1st Cook on a passenger ferry in Europe. We are looking for an experienced seafarer cook who can prepare tasty, well-balanced meals for crew and passengers while keeping a clean and safe galley.
- Key responsibilities:
- Prepare daily meals for crew and passengers according to menu and vessel standards
- Plan menus, manage food stores and control stock and provisions
- Ensure proper handling, storage and rotation of food items
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the galley and food storage areas
- Follow all safety and HACCP/food safety procedures on board
- Work closely with the catering team and support smooth service during meal times
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Cook / 1st Cook on passenger vessels or ferries
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fit for sea service
- Good knowledge of galley safety and food hygiene standards
- Ability to work in a busy galley and handle high volumes
- Good communication skills in English
