Join OSM Thome as an Electro Technical Officer (ETO) on an oil/chemical tanker. You will be responsible for keeping all electrical and electronic systems on board safe, reliable and in good working order to support safe tanker operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair all electrical, electronic and automation systems on board
• Monitor and troubleshoot power generation and distribution systems
• Maintain cargo control, monitoring and tank level systems
• Look after navigation and communication equipment together with the deck team
• Ensure proper maintenance of engine control systems and instrumentation
• Carry out planned maintenance, testing and calibration of critical equipment
• Follow company safety procedures and support safe tanker operations at all times

Requirements

• Valid Electro Technical Officer (ETO) CoC in accordance with STCW
• Tanker (oil/chemical) experience preferred
• Good knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
• Valid STCW basic and advanced safety certificates as required
• Good English communication skills
• Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
