Join OSM Thome as an Electro Technical Officer (ETO) on an oil/chemical tanker. You will be responsible for keeping all electrical and electronic systems on board safe, reliable and in good working order to support safe tanker operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain and repair all electrical, electronic and automation systems on board
- Monitor and troubleshoot power generation and distribution systems
- Maintain cargo control, monitoring and tank level systems
- Look after navigation and communication equipment together with the deck team
- Ensure proper maintenance of engine control systems and instrumentation
- Carry out planned maintenance, testing and calibration of critical equipment
- Follow company safety procedures and support safe tanker operations at all times
Requirements
- Valid Electro Technical Officer (ETO) CoC in accordance with STCW
- Tanker (oil/chemical) experience preferred
- Good knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
- Valid STCW basic and advanced safety certificates as required
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
