Join OSM Thome as Motorman / Oiler on a passenger ferry trading in the Netherlands. You will work closely with the engineering team to keep all machinery running safely and efficiently.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist engineers with day-to-day engine room operations
- Carry out routine lubrication, cleaning and basic maintenance of machinery
- Monitor and report machinery performance and irregularities
- Keep engine room and workshop clean, safe and well-organized
- Follow all safety and environmental procedures on board
- Painting, filter cleaning etc
- Requirements:
- Valid Motorman / Oiler (Engine Rating) certificates as per STCW
- Previous sea service in engine department, ferry or passenger vessel experience an advantage
- Valid seafarer medical certificate and basic safety training
- Good English communication skills
- Team player with a safety-first attitude and readiness to work in shifts
