OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Electro Technical Rating (ETR) to join our oil/chemical tanker fleet trading worldwide. You will support safe and reliable vessel operations by keeping all electrical and electronic systems in good working order.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Electro Technical Officer and Engineering team with maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment
- Carry out routine checks on power distribution, lighting, motors, pumps and control panels
- Support troubleshooting of faults in automation, alarms, navigation and communication systems
- Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work systems during all electrical jobs
- Keep maintenance records and ensure tools and spares are properly handled and stored
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as ETR or similar position, preferably on oil/chemical tankers
- Valid STCW certificates and national electrical / ETR qualifications as required
- Good knowledge of shipboard electrical and electronic systems
- Tanker experience and valid tanker documents are an advantage
- Good English communication skills and strong safety awareness
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
