Join our crew as Cook on a passenger ferry in Europe. You will prepare good, safe meals for crew and passengers, keeping the galley clean and well organized. This role is hands-on and suits someone who enjoys life at sea and working in a busy galley.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare daily meals for crew and passengers
- Ensure food safety, hygiene and correct storage at all times
- Keep galley, equipment and stores clean and in good order
- Assist with loading, checking and rotating food supplies
- Follow company menus, budget and portion control
- Work closely with ship’s officers and crew to support smooth operations
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as cook at sea, preferably on passenger vessels or ferries
- Valid maritime cook/ship’s cook certificate as required
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
- Good knowledge of food safety and galley hygiene standards
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple meal times
- Good English communication skills and a cooperative attitude
