Join OSM Thome as a Catering Assistant onboard a bulkcarrier trading worldwide. Support the galley team in daily food preparation and housekeeping to ensure a clean, safe and well-run catering department for all crew.

• Key responsibilities:
• Assist the Cook with basic food preparation and serving meals
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in galley, mess rooms and storerooms
• Handle dishwashing, garbage segregation and proper waste disposal
• Assist with receiving, checking and proper storage of provisions
• Follow shipboard safety and hygiene procedures at all times

• Requirements:
• Previous sea service in catering or hotel/restaurant experience preferred
• Basic safety (STCW) certificates and valid seafarer documents
• Good command of English
• Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
