Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on our worldwide trading oil/chemical tankers. You will be in charge of the engine department, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant vessel operations at sea and in port.

• Key responsibilities:
• Manage all engine room operations and maintenance
• Lead and supervise engine room crew
• Ensure safe, efficient running of all machinery and equipment
• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs
• Monitor fuel and lube oil consumption and condition
• Ensure compliance with class, flag, ISM, MARPOL and company rules
• Prepare and keep technical and engine room records up to date
• Work closely with the Master and shore technical team

• Requirements:
• Valid STCW Chief Engineer (Motor) CoC for worldwide trade
• Recent experience as C/E on oil/chemical tankers
• Strong knowledge of tanker operations and safety
• Good leadership and crew management skills
• Good English communication, spoken and written
• All mandatory STCW and tanker safety certificates up to date
• Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
