Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer on a chemical tanker trading worldwide. You will support safe and efficient engine room operations and ensure all machinery runs smoothly during global voyages.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations and maintenance
- Operate and monitor main engine, auxiliary engines, boilers and related systems
- Plan and carry out routine maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment
- Maintain engine room logs, records and reports as required
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company procedures
- Support bunkering operations and fuel/lube oil management
- Lead and guide engine room ratings in daily tasks
Requirements
- Valid STCW CoC 2nd Engineer (III/2) for seagoing vessels
- Recent experience as 2/E on chemical or product tankers preferred
- Good knowledge of engine room systems and tanker operations
- All required STCW safety and tanker training certificates up to date
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate and tanker documents
