4th Engineer / Junior Engineer – Tanker (Crude Oil), North Sea, Sweden-flagged vessel
**Description**
We are looking for a competent 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer to join a crude oil tanker trading in the North Sea under Swedish flag. The role is hands-on in the engine department, supporting safe and efficient operation of all machinery and systems.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in operation, monitoring and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and engine room equipment
- Carry out routine checks, inspections and planned maintenance as directed by senior engineers
- Support safe and efficient cargo operations, including loading and unloading
- Keep engine room areas clean, safe and well-organised
- Follow company procedures and safety management systems at all times
- Report defects, irregularities and near-misses promptly to senior engineers
**Requirements**
- At least 2 years’ seagoing experience as 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer or equivalent
- Experience on tankers, preferably crude oil
- Familiar with cargo handling and used to taking responsibility during loading/unloading operations
- Experience from Scandinavian and smaller vessels is an advantage
- Valid engineering certificates appropriate for rank and vessel type
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Physically fit for service at sea and able to work in a demanding engine room environment
- Age up to 40 years
