Join OSM Thome as an Ordinary Seaman (OS) on bulk carriers trading worldwide. You will work closely with the deck crew and officers to keep the vessel safe, clean, and ready for operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with mooring, unmooring, and anchoring operations
- Carry out chipping, painting, and general deck maintenance
- Handle ropes, wires, and deck gear as directed
- Stand lookout and assist on bridge as required
- Follow safety procedures and use PPE at all times
- Support cargo operations and cleaning of holds and decks
Requirements
- Valid STCW certificates for OS rank
- Previous experience on bulk carriers preferred
- Valid seaman’s book and medical fitness certificate
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to work in a multinational crew and follow instructions
- Strong safety awareness and willingness to learn
