Join OSM Thome as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on board an offshore construction vessel trading worldwide. You will support the Chief Cook in preparing good, safe and tasty meals for the crew and ensuring a clean and well-organized galley.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in daily preparation and cooking of meals for crew and officers
- Help with baking, salad bar and special diet meals as required
- Maintain galley, mess rooms and stores in clean and hygienic condition
- Receive, check and correctly store food supplies
- Follow HACCP and vessel safety procedures at all times
- Support Chief Cook with menu planning and stock control
- Requirements:
- Experience as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook at sea, preferably on offshore or similar vessels
- Relevant maritime cook/culinary training and valid seagoing certificates
- Good knowledge of galley hygiene and food safety standards
- Ability to work in a small multicultural team and follow instructions
- Fit for duty and willing to work worldwide on offshore construction vessel rotations
