Join OSM Thome as a Receptionist on board a passenger ferry operating in Antarctica. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth communication throughout their voyage in polar waters.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome and check in/out passengers at the reception desk
- Provide information on daily programs, services, and safety guidelines
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner
- Operate telephone and internal communication systems
- Assist with announcements, messages, and coordination with other departments
- Maintain reception area, records, and basic administration tasks
Requirements
- Previous experience as receptionist or in guest service, preferably at sea or in hospitality
- Good spoken and written English
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Well-organized, calm under pressure, and able to work in shifts
- Fit and prepared to work in remote and cold Antarctic conditions
- Valid seafarer documents and medicals, or willingness to obtain them
