Join OSM Thome as an Able Seafarer (AB) on Offshore Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels trading in Europe & UK. Work in a safe, professional crew, supporting offshore operations and deck work in all weather and sea conditions.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out mooring, anchoring and towing operations on AHTS vessels
- Handle ropes, wires, and deck equipment safely and efficiently
- Stand lookout and helmsman watch as directed by the officer on watch
- Assist with cargo deck operations, rigging, and safe deck movements
- Perform routine maintenance, chipping, painting, and cleaning on deck
- Follow all safety procedures and take part in drills and emergency response
- Requirements:
- Valid AB certificate and seafaring documents in line with STCW
- Previous experience as AB, preferably on offshore or AHTS vessels
- Valid offshore medical and seafarer medical (fit for duty)
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a team
- Willingness to work in European & UK waters and offshore conditions
