Information about the job:

  • Job Title: NDT Engineer.
  • Projects: Various Onshore projects.
  • Location: Fano, Italy.
  • Duration: 12 months (renewable).
  • Rotation: TBC.
  • Salary: Please state your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated monthly paid only while working.
  • Employer: Our client, a drilling and construction contractor.

Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Degree or equivalent background in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Eligibility to work in Italy through EU citizenship or a valid work authorization.
  • Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) in industrial or pipeline projects.
  • Strong understanding of NDT methods, inspection planning, and applicable industry standards.
  • Ability to interpret client specifications, material data, and technical documentation.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing NDT procedures and technical submissions.
  • Familiarity with supplier/subcontractor technical evaluations and quality audits.
  • Good documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional working proficiency in English; additional project languages are an advantage.


Tasks:

  • Develop the project's NDT strategy from tender stage through project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance on inspection methods and NDT-related decisions.
  • Produce, update, and support qualification of NDT procedures for assigned projects.
  • Assess project specifications, material characteristics, and inspection requirements to optimize quality and efficiency.
  • Evaluate technical offers and competency of NDT service providers.
  • Support quality and HSE teams during supplier qualification and audit activities.
  • Review and endorse NDT documentation submitted by external inspection companies.
  • Monitor inspection records and ensure compliance with contractual and quality requirements.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and ensure inspection data is accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Encourage the adoption of improved inspection techniques, technologies, and consumables to enhance performance and productivity.
