OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Officer to serve on a Fast Supply Vessel (FSV) operating offshore Luanda, Angola. You will support the Master in daily vessel operations, cargo runs and safety management, ensuring safe and efficient offshore supply services.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Master in navigation, vessel handling and watchkeeping
- Plan and supervise deck operations, mooring and cargo/work boat activities
- Oversee loading, securing and discharge of cargo, stores and equipment
- Lead the deck crew and ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain charts, publications and navigational equipment up to required standards
- Coordinate safety drills, toolbox talks and emergency preparedness
- Ensure correct implementation of ISM/ISPS and client requirements
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer / Chief Mate license (STCW II/2) with offshore experience
- Previous service on Fast Supply Vessels or similar offshore support vessels
- All STCW certificates and medicals valid for offshore operations
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Strong leadership, teamwork and safety mindset
