Key responsibilities
- Assist engineers with operation and maintenance of main engine and auxiliary machinery
- Carry out routine checks, lubrication and cleaning of engine room equipment
- Monitor machinery parameters and report any irregularities
- Keep engine room and workshop clean, safe and in good order
- Follow safety procedures and take part in drills and watchkeeping duties
Requirements
- Valid Motorman / Oiler (MTM) certificate and STCW documents
- Previous experience in engine room on seagoing vessels, preferably bulk carriers
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
- Safety-minded, hardworking and a team player willing to learn
