Description
We are looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) for a bulk carrier trading worldwide. The ETO will be responsible for safe and reliable operation, maintenance and repair of all electrical and electronic systems on board.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot vessel’s electrical and electronic equipment
- Maintain and repair deck cranes, grabs and associated control systems
- Ensure safe operation of power generation and distribution systems
- Maintain automation, monitoring, communication and navigation systems
- Keep accurate maintenance records and reports
- Cooperate closely with engine and deck departments during cargo and port operations
- Support safe working practices and compliance with flag and company procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years sea service as Electro Technical Officer (ETO)
- At least 1 year sea service as ETR
- Total sea service minimum 4 years
- Valid ETO CoC (OK CoC with limitation acceptable)
- Proven experience with deck cranes and grabs on bulk carriers
- Good knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
- Fit for duty and able to work worldwide rotation
