OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) to join our bulk carrier fleet trading worldwide. You will be responsible for all electrical and electronic equipment on board, ensuring safe and reliable vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair all electrical, electronic and automation systems on board
- Monitor and troubleshoot power generation and distribution systems
- Take care of navigation and communication equipment together with the bridge team
- Carry out regular inspections, testing and calibration of electrical equipment
- Support engine and deck teams with technical issues as needed
- Follow safety procedures and keep proper maintenance records
- Requirements:
- Valid ETO CoC and STCW certificates as per international regulations
- Experience as ETO on bulk carriers or similar vessel types
- Strong hands-on knowledge of marine electrical and electronic systems
- Good English communication skills
- Medically fit for sea service and ready to work worldwide
