Join OSM Thome as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on an offshore support vessel in Taiwan. You will support the Chief Cook in preparing daily meals for the crew, keeping a clean and safe galley, and helping to maintain good food standards on board.
joining date: 22.07.2026 (ready for travel 20.07.2026)
joining port: Taichung, Taiwan
1st service 4 weeks, possibility for 8/8 rotation

- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and cooking daily meals for crew and officers
- Help with baking, salads, and special diet meals when required
- Support in menu planning, food portioning, and serving
- Assist in receiving, checking, and proper storage of provisions
- Keep galley, mess rooms, and stores clean and well organized
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HSE procedures on board
- Requirements:
- Seagoing experience as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook, preferably offshore
- Basic seafarer documents and valid medical certificate
- Cook/food handling certificate or equivalent training
- Good knowledge of safe food handling and galley hygiene
- Ability to work in shifts and as part of a multinational crew
- Good communication in English
