Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on a modern PSV trading in UK waters. You will be in charge of the engine room, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable operation of all machinery and technical systems offshore.
- Key responsibilities:
- Oversee operation and maintenance of main engines, auxiliaries and all deck/engine equipment
- Lead, train and supervise engine room crew
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs
- Monitor fuel, lube oil and spares consumption and ordering
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and class/flag requirements
- Keep engine room records, reports and logbooks up to date
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer CoC (STCW), suitable for offshore/PSV trade
- Previous experience as C/E on PSV or similar offshore vessels
- UK National or holding UK Frontier Work Permit / UK Skilled Visa
- Strong knowledge of marine diesel engines, auxiliaries and PMS systems
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical and offshore certificates as required
