Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer (2/E) on a PSV trading in UK waters. You will support the safe and efficient running of all engine room machinery and equipment, working closely with the Chief Engineer and deck team offshore.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engines, auxiliaries and all engine room systems
- Carry out planned maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Monitor engine room performance, fuel and lube oil consumption, and keep accurate records
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and class/flag requirements
- Supervise engine room ratings and support safe daily work routines
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer (2/E) Certificate of Competency, suitable for offshore / PSV operations
- Previous experience as 2/E, preferably on PSV or similar offshore vessels
- Up-to-date STCW certificates and valid medical
- UK National or holding UK Frontier Work Permit / UK Skilled Visa
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a mixed, international crew
