Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on a crude oil tanker trading worldwide. Take a key role in deck operations, cargo handling and navigation, ensuring safe and efficient vessel performance.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and supervise deck operations, maintenance and safety routines
- Oversee cargo loading, discharging, tank cleaning and crude oil washing
- Assist the Master with navigation, bridge watch and voyage planning
- Lead and train deck crew, ensuring good discipline and teamwork
- Maintain ISM/ISPS procedures and update ship documentation
- Monitor stability, ballast, draft and cargo condition
Requirements
- Valid Chief Officer (Unlimited) license
- Recent experience on crude oil tankers in rank as C/O or 2/O with upgrade potential
- Valid STCW certificates and tanker/oil tanker endorsements
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Strong leadership, safety mindset and good seamanship
- Fit for worldwide trading and mixed-nationality crew environment
- With Framo Pumps experience
