Join OSM Thome as Chief Cook on an offshore construction vessel in the UK. You will lead the galley team and make sure the crew enjoys safe, tasty, and well-balanced meals every day.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan menus and prepare daily meals for crew and officers
- Manage galley stores, ordering, and stock control
- Ensure hygiene and cleanliness in galley, mess rooms, and storage areas
- Follow food safety standards and vessel catering procedures
- Supervise and train galley ratings as needed
- Work closely with vessel management to control catering budget
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook or Cook on offshore vessels or ships
- Valid UK Work Permit
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness (per flag and company standards)
- Good knowledge of safe food handling and galley hygiene
- Ability to plan menus and cater for mixed-nationality crews
- Good English communication skills
- Willingness to work in offshore rotation in UK waters
