2nd Engineer needed for offshore support vessel in the North Sea. Temporary role for experienced 2/E ready to join soon.
We are looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer (2/E) for an offshore support vessel operating in the North Sea on a temporary contract. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer and engine room team to keep all machinery running safely and efficiently in challenging offshore conditions.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in day-to-day operation and maintenance of main engines and all auxiliary machinery
- Carry out planned maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
- Monitor engine room performance, keep accurate logs, and report any abnormalities
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with all relevant regulations and company procedures
- Support bunkering operations and management of fuel, lube oils, and engine room spares
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer (Unlimited) CoC suitable for offshore operations
- Recent experience as 2/E on offshore support vessels or similar tonnage
- All mandatory STCW certificates and valid medical (including offshore medical where required)
- Good working knowledge of engine room systems and planned maintenance systems
- Strong safety mindset, good communication skills, and ability to work in a multinational crew
