We are looking for an experienced Electrician (ELEC) to work on board a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will be responsible for safe and reliable operation, maintenance and repair of all electrical and electronic systems on board.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain and repair main and auxiliary electrical equipment
- Carry out troubleshooting on electrical faults and alarms
- Maintain and repair power distribution, lighting and motor control systems
- Support maintenance of navigation, communication and automation systems as required
- Plan and perform preventive maintenance according to PMS
- Keep accurate maintenance and repair records and report to senior officers
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with company and vessel procedures
- Requirements:
- Previous seagoing experience as Electrician on bulk carriers or similar vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of the ship’s crew
